Yes, lower back pain, heavy legs and swollen feet are very common in pregnancy, especially later on and at the end of the day.
Maybe your back aches more as your belly grows, your shoes feel tight by evening, or it is harder and harder to find a good position to sleep.
Some of the clients I love working with most are pregnant women. Your body changes so much in these months, and a calm hour on the table can make a real difference.
Your body carries more weight in front, your posture changes and your circulation works harder, so the back aches and fluid gathers in the legs and feet.
What I see again and again:
For most healthy pregnancies gentle massage is a safe way to rest, ease aches and support circulation, as long as your midwife or doctor agrees first. It does not replace their care.
I recommend starting from around week 16 to 20. If your pregnancy is considered high risk, it is better to wait until after the first trimester, and in that case I don't use pressure at all. The treatment is gentle and relaxing, focused on helping you rest.
Before you book, please check with your midwife or doctor. If you notice sudden swelling in the face or hands, a strong headache, changes in vision, pain in one leg, bleeding or anything that feels wrong, contact them right away.
In a pregnancy massage with me you lie on a special table with room for your belly, or on your side, and I use gentle work on the back and lymphatic drainage for the legs.
Comfort comes first. Many women are surprised how good it feels to lie on their front again. If you don't feel comfortable face down, we do the whole session with you on your side, supported so you can relax completely.
For the lower back I can't use much pressure, but massage helps improve blood circulation in the area, which often brings relief. For heavy legs I use manual lymphatic drainage, a very gentle technique that helps the body move fluid.
Areas I usually focus on:
One client started coming to me when she was 6 months pregnant. She wanted to sleep better, to improve circulation in her lower back, and to get help with fluid retention in her legs. For her legs we used manual lymphatic drainage. She kept coming through the pregnancy, and came back after the birth too (you can read that part on the postpartum page). She is happy for me to share her story, without her name.
Swelling and back pain often ease when you put your legs up every day, sleep on your side with pillows, take short walks and drink water.
Many pregnant clients come every two to four weeks, and a little more often in the last part of the pregnancy.
Near the end the legs and back often feel heavier, so we follow how you feel.
If you know you will come regularly, my loyalty tickets let you save on every visit and book whenever it suits you.

Yes, on my pregnancy table, which has room for your belly. If you prefer, we work with you on your side.
Gentle lymphatic drainage often helps legs and feet feel lighter. Sudden or one sided swelling should always be checked by your midwife or doctor right away.
